The Friends of the Bowie Library

Don’t let your gently-used books gather dust! The Friends of the Bowie Library are seeking donations for our ongoing book sale. Proceeds from the sale directly support library programs.

Donate by Appointment: You must arrange a drop-off time to meet a volunteer at the library to donate your books. Please use the form below to arrange a day and time. 

What We Accept: Fiction and nonfiction; children’s books; young adult books; DVDs and CDs (no VHS tapes).

Your donations help support Library programs; THANK YOU!

To avoiding disrupting library operation, please only bring donations when you have an appointment. Please do not donate items that are in poor condition; you can just recycle books when they’re no longer usable.

Please describe what you’re donating and how much material there is. This will let us plan ahead for how much stuff you’re bringing. Examples: “About 15 romance novels”. “5 boxes of assorted books and magazines.” “Around 30 DVDs of Western movies.”
We’ll need to arrange a time to meet you at the Bowie Branch Library and accept your donations. How should we contact you? By text, by phone, or by email? If we should call you, please let us know when: during work hours, in the evening before 10pm, etc. We’ll send emails or texts anytime during the day.
